POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Lubrication Technician/Mechanic is responsible for performing essential lubrication and maintenance tasks at various job sites. This role includes inspecting equipment thoroughly and providing lubrication services as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct field lubrication and inspection tasks with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in planning and managing lubrication and preventative maintenance projects.
- Collaborate with team leads to assess client needs and define project scope.
- Identify and communicate potential service or sales opportunities to relevant parties.
- Ensure that service vehicles are properly maintained, including oil replenishment and waste disposal.
- Foster positive client relationships while supporting corporate marketing goals.
- Prepare detailed equipment condition reports and service documentation.
- Adhere to CAT Lube and Maintenance Guidelines for all lubrication services.
- Follow established procedures for equipment warm-up and sample collection.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Uphold safety standards at all times, complying with all company policies and procedures.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Keep relevant personnel informed about service dates, findings, and machine conditions.
- Perform thorough inspections and report findings to clients and management.
- Communicate effectively regarding equipment status, issues, and recommendations.
- Maintain a current MSHA certification if required for the work area.
- Provide on-the-job training as needed.
- Be available for overtime and travel to various locations as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to clarify instructions and discuss job progress.
- Promote and embody corporate values in all interactions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven technical skills and competence in the field.
- Valid CDL required prior to employment.
- Ability to obtain a Hazardous Material Endorsement, subject to background checks.
- Compliance with DOT CDL regulations.
- Professional demeanor and adherence to company grooming standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Consistent attendance and reliability.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
