We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Advocate to join our team in Little Rock, AR. This role involves providing exceptional customer service to taxpayers and child support customers while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Advocate, you will be responsible for examining evidentiary records, contracts, tax returns, and child support case management activities. You will also compute penalties and refunds, collect fees, child support payments, or arrearage amounts.

This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. If you have a passion for helping others and are detail-oriented, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine evidentiary records to verify accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Compute taxes, penalties, interest, or refunds due and prepare forms to bill/refund taxpayer.
  • Interview custodial and non-custodial parents and contacts employers, neighbors, and landlords to obtain information to document evidence of paternity or financial resources.
  • Provide technical assistance to custodial and/or non-custodial parent with payment processing or related case problems.
  • Research files for information to prepare reports, amend tax returns, and prepare history and evidentiary records for field auditors.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, as well as accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
