Role Responsibilities:
The Senior Electrical Assembler operates with minimal supervision, executing a range of assembly tasks related to diverse electrical and mechanical products, adhering to established procedures, schematics, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Interpreting detailed assembly instructions, including bills of materials, wiring diagrams, and assembly schematics.
- Utilizing company-provided hand and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
- Collaborating with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to ensure compliance with assembly specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Engaging with clients to understand new product builds and sharing knowledge with fellow assemblers.
- Constructing electrical panels and enclosures, troubleshooting as necessary.
- Conducting final assembly, functionality assessments, high potential testing, and calibration.
- Preparing point-to-point wiring in large electrical panels according to specified diagrams.
- Integrating sub-assemblies, electrical panels, chassis, power supplies, and interconnecting cables.
- Performing inspections and calibrations of final products as required.
- Assembling products in accordance with defined process specifications.
- Utilizing precision tools such as calipers and micrometers for assembly tasks.
- Demonstrating strong skills in assembly, disassembly, and repair processes.
- Leading and overseeing teams of 2-8 individuals in assembly operations.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
- A high school diploma or GED, with preference given to those with technical training.
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Experience in effective customer interaction.
- Knowledge of PC hardware and software installation and configuration.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Problem-solving skills with the capability to propose solutions.
- Experience in clean room environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with complex panels, multiple components, and extensive wiring lists.
- An understanding of the broader operational context of related areas.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, even without formal management responsibilities.
- Experience with large-scale capital equipment is a plus.
Work Environment:
Approximately 90% of the work is conducted in a precision, light industrial production setting, with the remainder in office and warehouse environments.
Physical Requirements:
While performing job duties, associates are regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds is essential.
