About BEAM for Summer Roles
At BEAM, we strive to create a transformative experience for students from low-income and historically marginalized communities. Our goal is to give everyone a chance to excel in mathematics by providing access to advanced math and support finding and applying to other opportunities.
We are seeking undergraduate students or recent graduates to be counselors and teaching assistants for our summer program. As a Counselor/Teaching Assistant, you will create a vibrant social experience for kids who are discovering for the first time that there are other people who like doing mathematics.
Responsibilities
- Run social and community activities
- Work with students on mathematics, both one-on-one and as a teaching assistant
- Livest in the dorms as a student hall leader
Qualifications
- Strong mathematical background
- Reliable and take initiative
- Charismatic and able to help kids have fun
Benefits
