Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all engineering-related queries from production or purchasing.
  • Resolve complex issues with engineering designs and bills of material.
  • Maintain a comprehensive issue log database to prevent recurring mistakes.
  • Develop innovative solutions for customer orders and engineering change requests (ECR).
  • Generate and administer engineering deviations.
  • Assist with tooling development for manufacturing.
  • Participate in daily production meetings to report on engineering design status.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance manufacturing processes.


Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong 3D CAD skills, preferably with Solidworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility in scheduling.
  • Ability to engage in Lean principles and continuous improvement activities.


Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in vehicle design/production and supporting manufacturing environments is highly desirable.


Working Conditions:
  • Primarily operates in an office environment with occasional work in warehouse settings.
  • PPE required for warehouse and production floor areas.


Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms.
