About the Role

We are seeking a talented Resident Lifestyle Assistant to support our Resident Lifestyle Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and coordinating daily life enrichment activities for our active residents.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with seniors and leading life-enrichment activities.

Responsibilities
  • Engage residents one-on-one and in small and large group settings, fostering meaningful relationships and encouraging socialization.
  • Lead or assist with group and one-on-one social, religious, educational, indoor, and outdoor activities, exercise, and outings, promoting physical and mental well-being.
  • Facilitate games, conversations, exercise classes, art and music, trips, and special events, catering to diverse interests and abilities.
  • Support the coordination of the monthly newsletter, ensuring timely publication and engaging content.
  • Lead assigned activities, demonstrating expertise and creativity in programming.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes when required, evaluating program effectiveness.
  • Review goals and progress notes, maintaining accurate records and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Resident Lifestyle Director as necessary, providing administrative support and collaborating on strategic initiatives.
Requirements
  • A positive team player attitude and love working with people.
  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, patience, and compassion for our residents.
  • A minimum of 6-12 months of relevant experience working with seniors and leading life-enrichment activities.
  • Experience with memory care is a plus.
  • Able to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
  • Maintaining composure in stressful situations and always treating our residents with respect and dignity.
  • Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus.
  • A valid state driver's license.
