Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective care plans, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement and evaluate care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop, evaluate, and revise care plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy and procedures.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice.
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient care, including education and support to patients and families.
- Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- A current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, as required by St. David's Healthcare policy.
- NIHSS certification, as required by St. David's Healthcare policy.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, preferred.
