Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Architecture: Develop and implement security architecture solutions, ensuring robust protection for IT systems and data.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Lead compliance efforts with frameworks such as NIST SP800-53 Rev 4 & 5, CJIS Security Policy Version 5.9, HIPAA, FERPA, and others. Provide expert guidance on risk assessment and management practices.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize expertise in virtualization, containerization (Docker), cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Windows and Linux servers, and encryption to enhance security measures.
  • Incident Response & Recovery: Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Ensure systems are resilient and can recover swiftly from security incidents.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive security strategies and contribute to daily tactical implementations. Lead cybersecurity projects and initiatives.
  • Audit & Controls: Evaluate audit responses, assess risk drivers, and ensure effective control evaluations. Utilize knowledge of secure application development and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Communication: Articulate complex security concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with a proven track record in security architecture and compliance.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of IT systems, including virtualization, containerization, cloud hosting, and encryption. Proficient in Windows and Linux server functionalities. Strong understanding of identity and access management, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
  • Compliance Expertise: In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and frameworks (NIST, CJIS, HIPAA, FERPA).
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Desired Experience:

  • Familiarity with Criminal Justice Information Systems and previous experience leading cybersecurity initiatives.
