Key Responsibilities

We are seeking to enhance our FDA Program with the addition of a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist. This individual will become part of a dynamic and skilled team.

Primary Duties:

The Cybersecurity Operations Specialist will be tasked with the following:
  • Delivering technical assistance for computing devices and related networks.
  • Setting up, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing personal computers and network devices such as servers, modems, multiplexers, and associated software.
  • Offering hardware and software support to both internal and external clients.
  • Evaluating and addressing security incidents and alerts from SIEM, Firewalls (FW)
  • Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS),
  • Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS),
  • Antivirus (AV),
  • Network Access Control (NAC), and other data sources.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • High School diploma with additional training; at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in security operations center support.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems including Windows, Linux, or UNIX.
  • Proficiency in using Splunk or similar SIEM tools.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary agency clearance.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as CSIS, CEH, CSTA, CSTP, GCFE, CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GPEN are preferred.
  • Skills in IDS log analysis.
  • Experience with packet capture tools and analysis.
  • Understanding of common protocols and services (FTP, HTTP, SSH, SMB, DAP).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to convey technical information clearly.
