Position Overview:
The Mobile Care Services team at WakeMed handles over 19,500 ground transports annually, utilizing a fleet of 24 ground ambulances and operating type I, II, and III ambulances. Our adult and pediatric specialty care teams provide medical transport 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As an Emergency Medical Technician, you will play a critical role in providing patient care and operating an ambulance as part of our critical and non-critical transport program. Your responsibilities will include documenting BLS patient conditions and providing care as needed, cleaning and maintaining ambulance equipment, and performing routine daily inspections and preventive maintenance of ambulances.

Requirements:
1 year of clinical experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is preferred, as is 1 year of experience in emergency vehicle operations. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a certificate in Emergency Medical Science or an Associate's degree in Emergency Medical Science. Additionally, you must be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic or higher and maintain vehicle operator insurability.

Work Schedule:
This role requires working every Saturday and Sunday, as well as one additional day per week, from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. If you are a motivated and compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
