Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and labeling.
  • Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information, checking for potential interactions, and ensuring accurate dosing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information, medication lists, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth operations, including inventory management, ordering, and receiving.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with pharmacy practices, regulations, and technology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process prescriptions and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to learn and use pharmacy software and systems.
