About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team at Behavior Frontiers. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in various settings such as homes, schools, centers, or communities. Your primary responsibility will be to work with individuals with autism and other special needs, teaching them essential life skills, promoting independence, and reducing inappropriate behaviors.


Responsibilities
  • Teach individuals with autism and other special needs to develop essential life skills, including communication, socialization, and daily living skills.
  • Collect data to track progress and demonstrate each client's growth towards reaching their goals.
  • Analyze data using our proprietary electronic data collection software to inform real-time decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), clients' families, and other technicians during clinical team meetings to discuss client progress and receive feedback from supervisors.

Requirements
  • Energetic attitude and desire to help individuals with developmental disabilities succeed.
  • Some college credits required or currently enrolled students.
  • Experience or exposure to children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to provide negative TB test results.
  • Ability to pass FBI & DOJ fingerprinting, health screenings, and provide/obtain immunizations.
  • Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 30lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (with or without reasonable accommodations).
  • Optional: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT), Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT), Mental Health Technician, or Senior Behavior Therapist (2 years' experience in ABA) a plus.
  • Spanish-speaking a plus.
