Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide expert nursing care to critically ill newborns and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
- Participate in high-risk deliveries, ECMO training, and flight and ground transports, utilizing advanced technologies and innovative treatments.
- Engage in shared governance and the Clinical Advancement Program, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.
- Participate in committees and councils, including the Parent Advisory Support Group, Practice Council, Scheduling Committee, Bereavement Committee, and Developmental Care Committee.
