Job Description

Job Summary:

Tribal One Construction, a leading provider of comprehensive construction services, is seeking a highly skilled Construction Quality Assurance/Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of construction activities on-site, ensuring that all work meets the required standards, project specifications, and is completed within the established schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, plan, and supervise subcontractors and/or craft activities to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Monitor contractor production, schedule, and performance, and manage subcontractor's daily production reports.
  • Complete contractor's daily reports and inspections, and identify and document any quality issues or defects.
  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance plan for the construction project, conduct inspections and tests to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain CPM schedules, work with stakeholders to understand changes, and plan and communicate course corrections to achieve milestones.
  • Review and monitor job costs with Project Managers, manage the labor recap process, and review of personnel timecards to ensure accuracy and appropriate job charging.
  • Manage purchase orders along with comparisons to budgets, and provide coaching and mentoring when supervising personnel in matters of construction practices and techniques.
  • Ensure overall quality control on construction projects, manage deficiency list process to ensure visibility and close tracking of items on a routine basis to minimize punch list items at project closeout.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Successful prior track record as a Superintendent on Federal government projects for a minimum of five (5) years.
  • Must be either a citizen of the U.S. or a non-U.S. citizen who has been lawfully admitted for permanent residence as evidenced by a Permanent Resident Card (USCIS I-551).
  • OSHA 30, EM, USACE CQM certification, and CPR/1st Aid certification.
  • Ability to successfully pass and remain in compliance with required background checks from Tribal 1 and any required federal government background checks.
  • Must pass drug screen and remain in compliance with drug-free workplace policies.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and agency-specific regulations, including the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to travel to various construction sites located in Colorado (50-75% traveling).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand or sit for long periods of time, access roofs, crawl spaces, and all construction areas.
