Gateway Rehab is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Treatment Support Technician 2 to join our team in Center Township, PA. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating programming and ensuring the integrity of the therapeutic milieu.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate discussion groups and activities to promote patient engagement and progress.
- Monitor patient behavior and provide support as needed.
- Conduct handbook orientation and ensure patients understand their responsibilities and expectations.
- Search patient belongings, rooms, and persons as required.
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff and patients to ensure effective communication and support.
- Assist patients in completing patient assessment forms and provide guidance as needed.
- Assist with phone calls to family members, friends, and referral sources to ensure timely communication and support.
- Participate in crisis intervention and provide support to patients in need.
- Transport patients to meetings and appointments as required.
- Document patient involvement and progress in progress notes.
- Collect urine samples and complete paperwork for drug screening as necessary.
- Provide post-discharge contacts and referrals under therapist direction.
- Monitor medication taken by clients and document accordingly.
- Manage menu and nutrition needs, as well as donations and patient requests.
- Monitor smoke breaks in the hospital setting.
- Complete intake paperwork as needed.
- Monitor clients' ADLs, including chores, behaviors, and grooming issues.
- Remain on duty until relieved.
- Attend mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Some college education.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Pass a PA Criminal History Record Check.
- Obtain PA or a State Child Abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances.
- Obtain CPR/First Aid training.
- Pass Drug Screen.
- TB Testing.
This position requires working in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center with favorable working conditions, minimal physical demands, and moderate mental demands to respond to patients' simultaneous requests.
