Fleet Diesel Technician

Walpole, Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our Birmingham, AL terminal. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex diesel engine issues, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engine problems, including after-treatment issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Communicate effectively with drivers, team members, and supervisors to ensure seamless operations
- Participate in safety and educational training programs to stay up-to-date on industry best practices
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; ASE/EVT certifications a plus
- 3+ years of experience in vehicle/equipment maintenance
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment
