Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a Quality Laboratory Lead to join our team in Belcamp, MD.

About the Role:

The Quality Laboratory Lead will be responsible for ensuring that products meet all internal, customer, and food safety requirements before product release. This includes managing and reporting KPI metrics for the Belcamp Quality laboratory, managing laboratory staff, and overseeing the positive release program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and report KPI metrics for the Belcamp Quality laboratory
  • Manage laboratory staff, including training, guidance, development, and coaching
  • Oversee the positive release program to ensure product requirements are met
  • Manage customer-specific requirements, including testing and sampling specifications
  • Point of contact for customer quality testing inquiries
  • Responsible for quality control scheduling and order fulfillment activities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement
  • Coordinate laboratory investigations of product nonconformances and customer complaints
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a laboratory in an FDA-regulated industry
  • Minimum 3 years in a people management role
  • Experience applying continuous improvement processes
  • HACCP experience and certification required, PCQI preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
