Rate: $58 /hr on C2C
Key Technical Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Linux systems administration.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with analytical and presentation capabilities.
- Certification in Red Hat Linux administration is required.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux Operating systems, particularly with virtualization expertise in VMWare.
- Proficient in Solaris 11 Operating system, including zones, ZFS, and Zpool management.
- Extensive experience with Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas clustering technologies.
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms such as VMware and Redhat OpenShift.
- Proficient in writing Shell or Perl scripts.
- Experience with SAN and NAS Storage, RAID, and LVM Management, including NFS, FTP, IPTABLES, DNS, and DHCP Administration.
- Working knowledge of YUM/Satellite Server.
- Familiarity with Centrify User management tool.
- Experience in patch and package management, security, and server hardening.
- User management, performance analysis, capacity planning, and monitoring expertise.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and operating system issues.
- Configuration and administration of LVM and Veritas logical volume manager.
- Installation and configuration of High Availability environments using Veritas Cluster.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to provide technical solutions for diverse requirements.
- Experience in server management, including server builds and migrations.
- Familiarity with backup management software such as Actifio or TSM.
- Participation in automation and service improvement initiatives.
- Good understanding of routing and switching technologies.
- Working knowledge of ITSM tools, specifically JIRA.
- Experience with multiple Geo Redundant sites, with knowledge of VRP tool being advantageous.
- Familiarity with technologies for continuous multi-site replication.
- Knowledge of server hardware, operating systems including OEL (Oracle Enterprise Linux), IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, VM Ware, and Storage SANs; Oracle Databases; Network Switches.
- Relevant certifications in VMware or other technologies like OpenShift and Dockers would be beneficial.
- Prior experience in a DevOps or Agile environment is a plus.
