We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Coordinator of Multicultural Mental Health Programs at the University of California, Irvine. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse student population and contribute to the development of innovative mental health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and develop programs, workshops, and services targeting diverse student populations, including Black/African American/African Diaspora students.
- Provide direct services to students as a generalist counseling psychologist, including initial assessments, time-limited individual and group psychotherapy, crisis care services, and campus crisis response.
- Collaborate with campus partners, including the Center for Black Cultures, Resources, and Research, to promote cultural competence and equity in mental health programming.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to research and evaluation efforts to inform mental health initiatives.
- Supervise and train psychology doctoral interns in an APA-accredited internship program.
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program.
- Licensed as a psychologist in California (or license-eligible in California).
- Completion of a psychology internship program.
- Verification of completion of CA continuing education requirements for supervision.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing psychological services to diverse populations.
- Three post-licensure years of clinical/counseling experience in the field of psychology.
- Completion of an APA-accredited internship program.
- Supervision experience with psychology doctoral interns, preferably in an APA-accredited program.
- Interest in the application and integration of social justice in counseling center work.
