Position Summary:

The CAD Drafter will be responsible for the creation and upkeep of detailed working drawings utilizing AutoCAD and Revit software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate CAD drawings for construction plans, plot plans, and residential layouts.
  • Overlay existing development drawings to identify necessary modifications.
  • Examine civil and architectural documents for accuracy.
  • Develop detailed drawings and sections.
  • Ensure compliance with development and architectural codes.
  • Adhere to established CAD standards and practices.
  • Manage file organization and documentation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support project initiation and development.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience with AutoCAD 2018 or newer.
  • Experience or coursework in Revit is preferred.
  • A college degree in Architecture, Engineering Drafting/Design, or a related field is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro/Bluebeam Revu.
  • Basic understanding of topography and civil design drawings is advantageous.
  • Ability to produce accurate, detailed work efficiently.
  • Strong motivation and commitment to regular attendance.
  • Ability to follow supervisory directions and work well with colleagues.
  • Capability to accept constructive feedback and adhere to workplace protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Compensation Overview:

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $23/hr to $34/hr, subject to adjustments based on qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations.
