Job Overview

As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at UPMC, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality anesthesia care to patients in a dynamic and engaging environment. Our CRNA Resource Pool is a team of experienced professionals who work together to provide anesthesia services across all UPP facilities in Allegheny County.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia and related care to patients, including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthesia support.
  • Assume responsibility for controlled substances according to department and hospital policy and State and federal guidelines.
  • Assist with the teaching and evaluation of newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.
  • Perform according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program required.
  • Knowledgeable regarding controlled substance policies in accordance with Federal and State laws required.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required.
  • Board Certified, Recertified or eligible by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists required.
