Job Description

The MITRE Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Financial and Budget Analyst to join its Strategic Integration Department within the Intelligence Center. This role will play a critical part in enhancing the nation's counterterrorism efforts at the strategic level and providing enterprise-wide solutions to counterterrorism challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis on large data sets across multiple departments and agencies to identify anomalies and fiscal changes or trends.
  • Summarize financial data for national-level decision-makers, providing clear and concise recommendations in support of inter-agency deliberations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to track and assess government counterterrorism mission performance.
  • Collaborate with government officials, including the National Security Council Staff, to provide recommendations on counterterrorism resource allocation.
  • Design and implement financial systems and processes to improve the quality and standardization of data collected.
  • Perform policy analysis to identify opportunities or risks from a budgetary perspective and develop mitigation options.
Requirements
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with current polygraph.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Data Science, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, or related field.
  • Experience with government budget systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Tableau.
Work Environment
