Position Overview:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Med Surg department, you will work under the guidance of a registered nurse to deliver essential physical and psychological care to patients. Your role will be integral to our multidisciplinary team, ensuring that patient care aligns with our mission and meets the expectations of physicians and patients alike.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Assessing patient and family needs related to care and learning requirements.
  • Monitoring all patients and following up according to established policies.
  • Identifying nursing diagnoses and planning appropriate interventions.
  • Proactively addressing potential patient care issues and implementing corrective measures.
  • Recognizing and reporting abnormal diagnostic results to the RN or physician.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Technical Certificate in Practical Nursing
  • A current Florida LPN license
  • BLS certification as a condition of employment
