Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team for the school year. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will work closely with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, providing them with equal access to education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sign language interpretation services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Work closely with teachers, staff, and students to ensure equal access to education
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, families, and school staff
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within the last 3 years
  • Valid Sign Language Interpreter credential/license or in process in state of practice
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
