Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Production Associate role involves performing essential production support tasks under direct supervision. This position is crucial in the assembly and fabrication of JELD-WEN products, including door skins and various related building materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in multiple aspects of the production process as directed by management to meet the operational goals of JELD-WEN.
  • Collect necessary materials, utilize appropriate hand tools, and operate relevant machinery to support production targets.
  • Operate machinery, attach components, and perform trimming and painting on both rough and finished products.
  • Package, label, and organize finished products, ensuring accurate documentation and necessary repairs are made.
  • Identify and report any defective materials or concerns to the appropriate personnel, including supervisors and quality control staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations and guidelines set forth by the company and OSHA.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform various tasks, including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees may need to move materials and products within their work area.

Work Environment:

Employees may encounter fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noises in the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure accurately.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production support role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to learn basic processes and equipment, serving as a hands-on resource in production support.
