Position Summary: We invite applications for a tenure-track role at the Assistant Professor level in Art History, with a specialization in Indigenous Art in North America. This position emphasizes contemporary practices within the field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to research and scholarly contributions. Applicants must possess the ability to teach Indigenous art across all levels of undergraduate and graduate programs. A demonstrated capacity to connect art historical narratives with broader cultural dialogues (both Indigenous and non-Indigenous) is essential.

Qualifications: Candidates should have at least one year of university-level teaching experience and a proven track record of success in this area. Responsibilities will include supervising graduate students in the MA Art History Program and the PhD program (pending approval). The successful candidate will also engage in administrative duties within both undergraduate and graduate programs. A PhD or advanced ABD in a relevant discipline is required.
