Materials Buyer Planner

We are seeking an experienced Materials Buyer Planner to join our team at Johnson Controls International's Norman, OK plant. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials for our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a robust materials plan to ensure minimal obsolete inventory impact from sunset products.
- Work closely with site materials and production teams to ensure on-time delivery of materials for new product launches.
- Monitor and track inventory levels of raw, WIP, and finished goods for incoming and exiting products.
- Coordinate with engineering, materials, and manufacturing to strategically utilize materials marked for obsolescence.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage consignment programs and purchasing agreements for commodity items.
- Operate within budget and contribute to the overall need for cost competitiveness.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and 3 years of directly applicable experience.
- SAP experience.
- Experience with managing suppliers.
- High volume/high mix manufacturing experience.
- APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification.
