Production Line Coordinator Job

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Line Coordinator to join our team at Red River Commodities.

Red River Commodities has been processing wild bird food and wildlife products for over 30 years. We contract directly with local growers to provide the freshest grains at competitive prices, ensuring high-quality products for our customers.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $18.00 per hour, plus a $2 shift differential. Our comprehensive benefits package includes on-demand pay through Tapcheck, paid time off, paid holidays, 401k matching, profit sharing, and an Employee Assistance Program.

Job Description
  • Equipment Operation: Coordinate the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of production line machinery, including packaging, sewing, and labeling equipment.
  • Production Monitoring: Ensure efficient production processes, track product quality, and report any deviations or issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Setup and Changeovers: Prepare equipment for different production runs, execute changeovers between product types with minimal downtime, and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve minor equipment malfunctions or production issues, perform routine maintenance tasks, and report major equipment problems to the Maintenance Department.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and standards, maintain accurate records of quality checks and production data.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols, follow company policies and regulatory requirements related to food safety and production.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in machinery operation or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to operate and troubleshoot production machinery, strong attention to detail, commitment to quality control, basic mathematical skills for monitoring production metrics.
Working Conditions

This role primarily involves working in a production facility with exposure to machinery noise and dust. The ability to stand, bend, and physically exert oneself for extended periods is required. All safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements must be adhered to.
