Job Overview

The Retail Merchandising Specialist plays a crucial role in executing merchandising strategies at the account level, ensuring that all marketing initiatives are effectively implemented at the point of sale.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enhance product availability across all customer accounts managed by Quality Beverage.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with customers consistently.
  • Create impactful product displays in designated accounts to promote our offerings.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure coolers are stocked at key retail locations.
  • Provide coverage for sales routes during peak periods throughout the year.
  • Track and report on competitive activities related to sales and marketing efforts.
  • Assist in executing sales promotions and special events, including evenings and weekends.
  • Adhere to all legal regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Support the daily maintenance of the POCM warehouse.
  • Complete daily paperwork and ensure all company documentation is accurately filled out.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for permanent promotional materials in on-premise and off-premise accounts.
  • Assist sales staff with cooler resets in retail environments.
  • Ensure all point-of-connection materials are current and appropriately themed.
  • Monitor and rotate products nearing expiration, and track breakage and damaged goods.
  • Operate various power equipment safely and effectively.
  • Design and print basic signage for retail accounts.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of brand and product details.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as required.
  • Capability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Self-driven, enthusiastic team player.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A college degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle registration.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, load, and move products weighing up to 165 lbs, including hanging merchandise that may require power tools.
  • Expect to be on your feet for extended periods, engaging in walking or standing throughout the day.
  • Requires mental focus to manage complex tasks that demand attention to detail.
  • Involves travel and exposure to various weather conditions while visiting clients and vendors.
  • Awareness of potential hazards related to road travel, including traffic incidents and product delivery.
