Job Summary

As a Framing Specialist at Michaels Stores, Inc., you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences while creating memorable framing solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide personalized recommendations to meet their creative goals. You will work closely with the team to ensure a safe, clean, and well-merchandised store environment, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs. Your expertise in framing and customer service will be essential in driving sales and production results, while maintaining a high level of quality and timeliness in completing framing orders. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas, including SISO and Directed Replenishment. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to interact with customers, colleagues, and management in a respectful and professional manner. Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-merchandised store environment
  • Maintain a high level of quality and timeliness in completing framing orders
  • Assist with Omni-channel processes and support shrink and safety programs
  • Participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget
  • Operate cash register and execute cash handling to standards
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills
  • Ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail experience
  • Experience selling products and/or services to customers
Work Environment
  • Public retail store setting, taking care of our customers; all public areas are climate-controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled; some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks; Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings
