CNA - Senior Certified Nursing Assistant - FT - Days

The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). This position requires a high level of expertise as a certified nursing assistant and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
Responsibilities- Provides assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate, and creates a positive dining experience.
- Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs, documents resident interactions, and communicates resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Participates in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed, and may be responsible for completing tasks related to the Restorative Nursing program.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16, two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
