Academic Faculty Position in Construction Science and Management

This is a full-time tenure-track position in the Construction Science and Management (CSM) program at Tuskegee University. The faculty member will be involved in a full teaching load, academic advising, active research, and scholarship in the area of Construction, engineering, and/or Architecture.
Responsibilities- Teaching responsibilities include time spent in the classroom, field sites, or construction labs; maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught; preparing teaching materials; advising terminal projects; and supervising independent study projects.
- Administer academic teaching, which may include practice and teaching interests that complement those of existing faculty.
- Contribute to the existing range of courses and may develop a seminar/lab that reflects interdisciplinary interests in architecture, engineering, construction controls management, and virtual design & construction/BIM.
- Masters degree in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or other closely related field.
- 3 years of university-level teaching experience in topics of Architecture, Construction, or related areas.
- Professional experience in the construction industry relevant to the areas of teaching needs.
- Hold construction industry certifications such as CPC/AIC, PMP, LEED Associate or Accredited Professional, ENV SP, or similar.
- Excellent oral, written, and digital communication skills.
This position will require night, weekend, and after-hour work.
