Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and punctual Transportation Driver/Aide to join our team at Fruita Family Medicine, PLLC. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for transporting patients and residents to medical appointments, services, and special trips as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, residents, and staff to ensure smooth transportation services.
  • Transport patients and residents to medical appointments, services, and special trips as scheduled.
  • Assist with loading and unloading passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Coordinate patient transport activities and services with other departments as requested.
  • Interact with nursing and other support departments to ensure quality and timely delivery of service.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and orderly work environment, ensuring dispatch equipment is in good working condition.
  • Recommend and participate in solutions to ongoing problems or trends regarding patient/resident transport.
  • Develop and promote positive customer service relations with patients, residents, family members, visitors, and staff.
  • Keep the Transportation Manager and/or Fleet Supervisor informed of activities, needs, and concerns.
  • Participate in on-call coverage as needed and assist with after-hours non-emergency transportation services.
  • Follow proper communication procedures to ensure driver, resident, and passenger safety.
  • Maintain all necessary driver, insurance, and CDL license requirements as directed by Family Health West.
  • Complete pre/post trip vehicle safety inspections and assist with routine interior and exterior cleaning/washing of Family Health West owned vehicles.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Current Colorado Driver's License required.
  • Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.
  • CNA license preferred; not required.
  • Proof of current personal automobile insurance.
  • One-year related experience and/or training preferred.
