Job Summary

As an Assembly Technician at Cummins, you will be responsible for operating machines and production equipment in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance. Your primary focus will be on ensuring quality and productivity while maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) - Stop work and report any major injury hazards, report work-related injuries, and comply with HSE standards and regulations.
  • Quality - Follow standard work procedures, perform quality inspections, and identify and control non-conforming material.
  • Delivery - Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products, achieving production goals and working at required cycle times.
  • Maintenance - Maintain a clean and orderly work area, perform routine housekeeping tasks, and complete planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
  • Teamwork - Communicate effectively with the assigned team and support teams, participate in training and personal development, and contribute to improving quality, safety, and process efficiency.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience is required.
