Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties
- Conduct virtual therapy sessions for clients as scheduled, adhering to evidence-based practices and organizational policies.
- Engage in comprehensive consultations with prospective clients to assess compatibility, ensuring mutual understanding of expectations and goals prior to scheduling intake sessions.
Compliance and Communication
- Maintain appropriate licensing and comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality, arriving on time for sessions and meetings.
- Respond to administrative and client inquiries promptly, typically within 24-48 hours.
Documentation and Insurance Management
- Complete accurate and timely documentation for each client, including intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, and other essential records.
- Clearly communicate insurance and billing procedures to clients, providing information about coverage, deductibles, and co-pays.
Networking and Professional Development
- Actively participate in networking opportunities, connecting with wellness professionals and resources in the community.
- Develop your therapeutic niche through involvement in training sessions, workshops, and community events.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings, consultation sessions, and training to foster ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Education
- Master's or Doctoral degrees (AMFT, LMFT) in Marriage & Family Therapy are highly preferred.
- Master's degree (LCSW, LCPC, etc.) with substantial experience in couples therapy and training in approaches such as the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Discernment Counseling.
Experience and Skills
- At least one area of specialization for counseling services (e.g., pre-marital counseling, pregnancy/postpartum support, adjustment to parenthood, sex therapy, divorce).
- Knowledge and experience in couples work and family systems theory.
- Competence in evaluating and treating mental and emotional disorders, addressing health and behavioral issues, and managing various relationship challenges.
- Strong clinical and administrative skills, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and client communication.
Licensing and Availability
- Active, unrestricted professional license in Illinois.
- Availability to conduct a minimum of 25 patient sessions per week via telehealth, with 30 hours weekly allocated for client scheduling.
- Ability to accommodate clients 2-3 evenings per week.
