Position: Automotive Diesel / Gas Mechanic

We are looking for a meticulous and dependable mechanic who demonstrates self-motivation and accountability, alongside exceptional customer service abilities. The ideal candidate should be proficient in working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment, possessing experience with a varied fleet of vehicles, including vans, trucks, and medium-duty diesel units.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough inspections and diagnostic evaluations to assess vehicle and equipment conditions.
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to ensure equipment readiness.
  • Address vehicle issues by repairing or replacing necessary components and systems.
  • Conduct test drives to confirm vehicle performance, making adjustments to controls and systems as required.
  • Adhere to federal and state vehicle regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of services and repairs performed.
  • Oversee shop equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Manage costs effectively by utilizing warranties and assessing service/part alternatives.
  • Keep an organized inventory of supplies and parts.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring clear communication with clients regarding their vehicles.
  • Support team objectives by completing related tasks as necessary.
  • Be prepared for field inspections and repairs in various weather conditions.
