Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Mechanical Engineering Leader to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a key member of our mechanical engineering group, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance, training, and mentoring to our design resources.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have 8+ years of progressive technical experience in the design of mechanical systems for commercial and institutional facilities. Your strong leadership skills, combined with your technical expertise, will enable you to effectively oversee multiple projects and ensure they meet contract specifications and technical standards on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and quality oversight of all project work involving mechanical engineering.
  • Develop and implement technical training programs for staff.
  • Establish and improve standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for the mechanical discipline area.
  • Act as Engineer of Record.
  • Offer 'on-the-spot' advice and decisions on technical and cost estimates.
  • Cordinate with all disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
  • Technical interface with code officials and contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering and hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and well-organized with the ability to take good notes.
