Job SummaryWe are seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to join our Pulmonary Thoracic Care Unit (PTCU) team. As a member of our team, you will work closely with cardiac-thoracic, hepatobiliary, and head and neck surgical teams, as well as high-risk respiratory patients. If you are looking to develop a wide range of nursing skills, this is an ideal opportunity for you.
Responsibilities- Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
- Work independently to assess, diagnose, and treat human responses, promoting health and abilities, preventing illness and injury, and alleviating suffering.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of nursing practice.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
- Less than one year of experience as a registered professional nurse.
- Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- Other required cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS).
- BSN degree.
- Unit-specific RN attributes.
