Turner Industries Group is seeking an experienced Electrician to work at a jobsite in the Muscle Shoals, AL area.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment.
- Design new or modified installations to minimize material waste, ensure future maintenance access, and adhere to local electrical codes.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
- Pull wiring through conduit, splice wires, and connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
- Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
- Connect power cables to equipment, such as electric ranges or motors, and install grounding leads.
- Test circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety.
- Observe installed equipment or system functionality to identify hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-4 years of experience in the specified skill area (depending on mechanic level).
- Knowledge of electrician's tools and their usage.
- Working on or above 600V or 69kV industrial high voltage distribution systems requires qualification.
- NCCER certification for A-class Electricians is often required.
- Written pre-employment qualification test.
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
- Hazard Communication orientation/test.
- Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination.
- OSHA-approved corrective eyewear (Z87).
- Job site orientation.
- Job site safety requirements as specified by the client.
- Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc., above and below ground level.
- Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.
- Reaching in all directions, handling, and manipulating objects and materials.
- Coordinating eye, hand, and finger movements to operate tools and equipment.
- Lifting 30-50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead.
- Carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.
- Standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting, crawling.
- Seeing with or without correction.
- Hearing with or without correction.
- Location: industrial maintenance and construction sites.
- Mobility barriers to access job site: uneven ground level, obstructed pathways, work performed at low and/or high elevations, work performed in confined areas.
- Climatic/environmental conditions at job site: predominantly outdoor climate, potential exposure to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc., various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc., potential exposure to chemical substances.
