Electrophysiology Technician Role with Magnet Medical

At Magnet Medical, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team for a travel opportunity in Pennsylvania. This 13-week assignment offers a chance to work with a specialized clinical setting, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders through electrophysiology procedures.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting electrophysiologists during diagnostic tests such as electrophysiology studies (EPS) and catheter ablations. Key responsibilities include preparing patients, operating specialized equipment, and assisting in procedures to treat abnormal heart rhythms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare the electrophysiology lab for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile, functioning, and ready. Verify patient information, review medical history, and complete necessary documentation and consents.
- Assisting During Electrophysiology Procedures: Assist the electrophysiologist during procedures such as EPS, catheter ablations, pacemaker insertions, and cardiac mapping. Handle and operate specialized equipment, monitor patient vital signs, and report any changes or abnormalities to the physician.
- Post-Procedure Care and Monitoring: Monitor patients post-procedure for complications, provide post-procedure instructions, and assist in transferring patients to recovery or the appropriate unit.
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Ensure proper calibration, operation, and maintenance of electrophysiology equipment, perform routine checks, and troubleshoot issues that may arise during procedures.
- Collaboration with Medical Team: Work closely with electrophysiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient patient care during procedures.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have relevant experience as an Electrophysiology Technician and excellent communication and teamwork skills. A strong understanding of electrophysiology procedures, technologies, and best practices is essential.
Compensation: The pay package for this role is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. With a competitive salary range estimated at $85,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and location, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a specialized field.
