Job Title: Dietary Aide

Bay Pointe Assisted Living & Marine Courte Memory Care is seeking a skilled Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and services to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Dietary Aide will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of meals, as well as maintaining a clean and safe food service environment. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals, including setting and resetting tables, and refilling beverages and salad bars.
  • Support food services programs that stimulate and maximize the unique interests and attributes of each resident.
  • Promptly resolve any potential food services and care coordination problems with team members and team leaders.
  • Under the direction of the supervisor, assist food service personnel in serving residents, filling drinking glasses, and setting and resetting tables.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, including washing utensils, chinaware, and glassware, and cleaning the dish room and kitchen floors.
  • Deliver room service trays as instructed.
  • Present a professional demeanor that communicates the corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in the resident's unique needs.
Requirements:
  • Ability to push, pull, lift at least 30 pounds, and frequently transport residents in a wheelchair.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for periods of up to eight hours with breaks.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, with English language skills adequate to allow communication with residents and staff.
  • Familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population.
  • Ability to routinely follow written and verbal instructions.
