As a leading fintech company, FIS is committed to advancing the world of finance. We're seeking a skilled Tax Accountant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review tax reports for state and local authorities, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax laws, updates, and revisions, and inform management of any issues affecting FIS.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies in financial data.
  • Reconcile year-end balances and recover any tax overpayments.
  • Request refunds for dual taxation, incorrect assessment, and exempt property.
  • Assist with tax audits and provide support to leadership.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local income, use, and sales tax concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and public.
