LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Hematology Oncology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at Geisinger, where you will have the opportunity to work with patients and provide top-notch care in an outpatient clinic setting.
This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing primary clinical support to our providers, patients, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data base for provider, and prepares patient for examinations.
- Provides direct clinical care as directed by provider.
- Assists provider in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations as directed by provider to facilitate accurate diagnosis.
- Collections and prepares laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork to expedite laboratory studies with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
- Executes and documents ongoing patient communication, as directed by provider, prioritizes communication to the provider, responds to patient questions and requests to ensure efficient use of provider time and timely response to patients needs Administers medications and vaccines including intradermal and skin testing under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.
- Cleans and sets up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensures required levels of asepsis, availability of appropriate instruments and equipment, and preparation of patient.

Requirements:To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing and at least one year of experience in nursing. You must also possess Basic Life Support Certification and be licensed as an LPN in the state of Pennsylvania.
