Job Title: Dual Property Engineering Supervisor

At Azul Hospitality, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dual Property Engineering Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day and long-term operations of our maintenance department, ensuring the upkeep of all rooms, building exterior, and public and back-of-house spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the maintenance department, including scheduling work, ordering materials, and completing assignments by specified dates.
  • Ensure all projects are completed according to specifications and are completed on time.
  • Work closely with the Chief Engineer/Operations Manager to ensure coordination of activities.
  • Perform work within departmental expense plans.
  • Study work schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
  • Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies to staff and enforce safety regulations.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist staff in solving work problems.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate staff.
  • Practice safe work habits and ensure safe work practices to avoid injury to self and others.
  • May estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
  • May confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities or individual departments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years post-High School education, preferably in a related area of studies, or equivalent work experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in Engineering, with an engineering and maintenance background required, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace (English).
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Considerable knowledge of complex mathematical calculations and computer accounting programs.
  • Ability to analyze, forecast data, and make judgments to ensure proper payroll and production control.
  • Ability to supervise staff and accomplish goals on a timely basis.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
Working Conditions:

The Dual Property Engineering Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with regular attendance and punctuality essential to the successful performance of this position. The position may require the operation of motorized and electric vehicles, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.

The successful candidate will be required to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance, in accordance with Azul Hospitality standards.

Regular attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
