Job Overview:
The Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee the precise and timely reporting of the North American corporate departments for Terminix International.

This role involves determining accrual estimates and ensuring accurate financial reporting for various corporate sectors, including marketing, human resources, tax, legal, financial planning and analysis, transaction services, accounting, and call center operations.

The Corporate Accounting Manager will lead a team of accounting professionals to facilitate an accurate and efficient closing process for corporate departments, engaging in significant and complex areas of Terminix International.

Key Performance Indicators:
- Timely and accurate completion of financial data for corporate departments.
- Collaborate effectively with corporate teams to analyze costs, estimate accruals, investigate variances, and identify trends to enhance accuracy in budgeting and forecasting results.
- Ensure effective control operations and collaborate with internal and external auditors to support integrated audits.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Corporate Accounting Manager will supervise a team of accounting professionals to support the following:
- Manage the accounting and reporting for corporate departments to accurately document financial transactions.

- Analyze corporate cost data, identify cost components, and develop trend analyses to improve reporting and ensure proper accruals.

- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecasts, summarizing explanations for cost variances to drive improved forecasting and cost recognition.

- Manage assigned controls to ensure compliance with company policies, focusing on a risk-based approach.

- Collaborate with the team to identify process improvements and policies through automation and consistency, enhancing the transparency and reliability of Terminix International's reporting processes.

- Direct and manage the accurate recording of intercompany transactions among multiple Rentokil affiliates, ensuring intercompany balances are precise and complete.

- Oversee the intercompany payment process and lead the group intercompany billing process for rebilling company costs.
- Guide a team of accounting professionals to achieve an accurate and efficient close for corporate departments, reviewing and approving journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses to ensure precise reporting.

- Manage the recording and reporting of unclaimed property amounts for customers, payroll, and accounts payable unclaimed balances.

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of debt and equity accounting transactions, including group loans.
- Provide detailed analyses and insights to accounting leadership and various functions to support business growth initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison to coordinate and complete requests from external and internal audit teams, ensuring accurate and timely information during the annual audit process.
- Apply significant judgment to develop cost estimates and liability accruals.
- Partner with financial planning and analysis to ensure accurate reporting of results for corporate departments.
- Communicate any material changes to forecasts or budgets as soon as they are known.
- Hold regular meetings with corporate teams to discuss significant matters such as ongoing projects and future initiatives.
- Collaborate with financial planning and analysis partners to develop accurate forecasts and analyses.
- Develop, manage, and mentor staff members.
- Identify and implement efficiency, automation, and acceleration opportunities for the closing process.
- Review account reconciliations and prepare detailed fluctuation analyses for accounting leadership.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial laws and company philosophy.
- Oversee the security and integrity of Terminix International's financial information.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Candidate Profile:
Required Experience:
- Over 6 years of accounting experience in progressive financial leadership roles.
- Experience managing a large team and overseeing team members.
- Experience within a multi-unit organization.

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent relevant experience - Required.
- Current CPA credentials or equivalent is preferred.
