Job Description

At 48forty Solutions and Relogistics Services, we are seeking a skilled Yard Truck Operator - Forklift Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate an automatic Ottawa Yard Truck to move loaded and unloaded trailers around the Reverse Logistic Center, ensuring efficient movement and minimizing damage.
  • Perform daily equipment checks, including fluid levels, air filters, and load security, to maintain optimal performance and safety.
  • Utilize the yard management system to optimize trailer movement and maximize efficiency.
  • When necessary, operate a forklift to move pallets or materials around the storage facility, adhering to inventory control instructions.
  • Stack pallets or materials correctly, following inventory control guidelines, to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to customers.
  • Maintain Relogistics performance expectations, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Good math, language, and reading skills, with attention to detail and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions, including elements, heat, cold, and air particulate.
  • Repetitive lifting of up to 50-75 pounds and adjusting body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for extended periods.
