Job Summary

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join our expanding team in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. This recruitment is open to candidates at any rank and track, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing department within a renowned academic institution.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a thriving clinical practice within the UNM Hospital Eye Clinic
  • Shared responsibilities for on-call duties
  • Active participation in the education of medical students and residents
Requirements
  • Completion of an Ophthalmology Residency Program
  • Board certified/eligible in Ophthalmology
  • Eligible for licensure in New Mexico
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in clinical education
  • Experience in clinical research
  • Experience with comprehensive ophthalmology and ophthalmic procedures commonly performed by comprehensive ophthalmologists
  • Experience with basic medical retina and pediatric ophthalmology care
