Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dentist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Corrections. As a Dentist, you will play a critical role in providing top-notch dental care to our inmate population with compassion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily work of the institution's dental staff and be responsible for all aspects of the clinical dental services provided to the inmate population.
  • Provide basic dental care and perform all dental treatment; assist specialists in the performance of treatment and related duties while on-site.
  • Assure that adequate security, tool control, and Toxic and Caustic Control are carried out within the dental office.
  • Consult with and refer inmate patients to physicians, oral surgeons, and other health care professionals.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
  • Must be in possession of a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • You must pass a background investigation.

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
