Pet Groomer

We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our team at Tractor Supply Company. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to dogs, using your knowledge of canine characteristics and grooming styles and techniques.

• Deliver world-class customer satisfaction by providing personalized grooming services
• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist in generating business by calling existing and new customers, scheduling appointments, and verifying vaccinations
• Book appointments and greet pets as they arrive, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment
• Report any accidents or injuries to the Store Manager promptly and follow safety procedures
• Follow established bathing and grooming procedures, including cleaning ears, clipping nails, and performing other necessary services
• Adhere to customer instructions for clipping patterns and use electric clippers, combs, and shears to achieve desired results
• Comb and shape dogs' coats to maintain a healthy and attractive appearance
• Talk to live animals and use non-physical techniques to keep them calm and relaxed
• Complete and maintain customer and company forms accurately and efficiently
• Properly and completely fill out required grooming forms
• Observe all safety rules and procedures, adhering to safety standards at all times
• Sweep, vacuum, clean, and sanitize cages, tubs, and other areas as needed to maintain high standards
• Assist in store operations as needed, providing support to team members and customers

• Minimum of 1-year experience grooming or styling pets, with comfort working with dogs and cats
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation
• Preferred knowledge, skills, or abilities include operating grooming tools and equipment, communicating effectively with customers, and displaying compassion with animals
• Ability to lift and carry pets weighing up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, and work varied hours, days, nights, and weekends as business needs dictate

Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise. Exposure to wet conditions, pets, and pet waste is possible. Ability to work safely around sharp grooming instruments, perfumed shampoos and soaps, and pets is essential.
