Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patrol activities and related tasks, including vehicle and foot patrols, traffic control, security checks, crowd control, and assisting persons in distress.
  • Carry out apprehension and arrest procedures, issue warnings and citations, investigate accidents, complaints, and incidents, preserve crime scenes, and gather evidence.
  • Operate communications equipment and police vehicles, follow procedures regarding the use of firearms and the use of force, and maintain equipment in excellent working order.
  • Prepare and submit accurate police reports, successfully complete all training requirements, and conform to the Police Services Dress Code.
  • Communicate with and aid the public, answer questions, respond to complaints or problems in a tactful and diplomatic manner, and strive to meet MARTA Police Services goals to provide a customer-oriented, safe, and secure system.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
